Convene community-facing events that close demographic representation gaps

Our first five engagements brought in over 130 participants, but many voices were underrepresented. MSEG must be transparent about who we've heard from and who we haven't, and use that to design engagements built specifically to close those gaps rather than reach the same people again.

We track two kinds of gaps publicly:

  • Where we've reached, by school and board district. See the District Reach Tracker.

  • Who we've heard from, compared to the actual diversity of OUSD's families and students, including where our participants don't yet reflect the community. See the Demographic Snapshot.

The goal of this result is a community-facing event shaped around those gaps — location, timing, language access, and targeted outreach aimed at the schools and communities currently missing from the data.
