General Information + Help

What can I do on the OUSD Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Group platform?

This is where Oakland families, students, staff, and community members can help shape how engagement around OUSD's long-term future actually works. The site is run by the OUSD Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Group (MSEG), an independent volunteer group of OUSD parents, students, teachers, classified staff, and advisory committee members. We are not OUSD itself, and what happens here is community-led.

You'll see two main spaces in the top menu:

Assembly — OUSD Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Group. This is the home of the group itself: who's at the table, what we're working on, our meeting agendas and minutes, and the documents that ground our work. Start here if you want to understand who we are and follow our ongoing work.

Process — Phase 4 Engagement Planning. This is the active community process, working toward Phase 4 of the Financial Stabilization Plan in Fall 2027. Inside it you can read about the four phases of the plan, contribute proposals on what conditions would make engagement meaningful, comment on what others have shared, take part in surveys, sign up for community meetings, and follow our Tracking & Accountability dashboard to see what happened to community input.

Within these spaces you can participate in several ways:

  1. Create an account now. It's secure and your privacy will be respected.

  2. Register and participate in upcoming meetings.

  3. Stay tuned for additional opportunities as it evolves.

We're committed to making this a real feedback loop, not a place where input disappears. If you participate, you will be able to trace what you contributed, what came of it, and where it stands.
