How to Engage Online
We hope that you are able to attend one of our in-person or virtual meetings. For those that can’t, we’ve created this page to walk you through the process of engaging with MSEG online whenever it is convenient for you.
This isn’t quite the same or as impactful as the live discussions that we’ve hosted, but by offering this option we’re hoping to widen the number of voices we’ve heard from in the OUSD community.
We know it: nobody wants another login to keep track of. All the same, we’ve tried to make it easy to create an account with us (you can sign up with your email, Google or Facebook login), and will always protect your privacy.
Creating an account on this site will give you the opportunity to engage both with our core group and the community on the issues that we face as a district. If you already have an account, thank you, and please log in!
Step 2: Tell Us About Yourself
When you’re signed in, access your account page and tell us a few things about yourself if you like. Then, take an anonymous survey to help us see who we are reaching, and who we aren’t, in our community. (If you already filled out the survey at a past event, skip this step.)
Step 3: Tell us What’s Important and What’s Working
In the spring and summer, MSEG asked participants to engage in a discussion about what is important and what is working for them at OUSD. The responses were powerful and represented some very important priorities for the community. Please participate in the online version of this exercise and add your voice to the chorus!
We combined the voices that we heard in the spring into a series of summary statements, which are now visible as proposals you can upvote on the website. Each user will have 10 votes to spread amongst proposals that are classified as What is Important and What is Working. Note that you can see all the original comments under each statement by clicking through any of them.
Step 5: Weigh in on Basic Staffing at OUSD Schools
Our fall engagements in 2026-27 will focus on the idea of “basic staffing” at all OUSD schools. We have created this online exercise to try and capture that experience, so please click through, take time to look at the materials, and react.
