What are assemblies?

An assembly is a group that meets regularly to work on a specific area or set of questions. Assemblies hold meetings (both open and closed to the public) and publish their composition, agendas, minutes, and the documents that ground their work. When meetings are open, you can attend, add items to the agenda, or comment on what's been raised.

The current assembly on this site is the OUSD Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Group (MSEG), the volunteer group of OUSD parents, students, teachers, classified staff, and advisory committee members convened to support meaningful community engagement around the Financial Stabilization Plan and other district decisions. Visit the assembly page to see who's at the table, follow our meeting schedule, read minutes, and access the documents we work from.

Over time, additional assemblies may be added; For example, working groups focused on a particular question, advisory bodies tied to a specific district committee, or community panels formed for a defined purpose. Each would have its own composition, scope, and meeting cadence, and would appear in this section of the site.

If you want to follow what an assembly is doing, click into it and use the Follow button. You'll get notifications when meetings are scheduled, minutes are published, or new documents are added.
