Adopt-a-Service

OUSD MSEG is a volunteer, self-funded operation. We are not currently an official 501(c)(3) organization, nor are we backed by any political, government, or advocate entity. Just the same, the efforts we are engaging in cost real money; our dedication to accessibility to reaching underserved communities in Oakland includes a need to provide professional interpretation, child-care and food at meetings, not to mention space rental and staff for future engagements.

Rather than ask the community for abstract, blanket donations, we will gratefully accept anyone's sponsorship of the costs of part or all of any of the following services for a single meeting via our Venmo account. Please donate anything you can knowing that all proceeds will benefit the engagement process that we are trying to build, and we would love to give you credit publicly if you're comfortable with it. Thank you!

• Custodial Overtime for 1 Meeting - $200

• Engagement Interpretation for 1 language - $300

• Engagement Interpretation for 4 languages (Spanish, Arabic, Cantonese, Mam) - $1200

• Child Care for One Meeting - $500

• Food + Refreshments for 20 Participants - $350

• Expression of Support - Anything you can spare :)
